HSBC Securities Services Ireland was recently top rated by the internationally recognised Global Custodian Survey (2008). The rating is calculated on the basis of feedback from fund managers in the alternative sector.
The HSBC rating exceeded the scores of other global fund administrators operating from Ireland and outperformed the more boutique hedge fund administrators.
The Global Custodian Report said about HSBC Securities Services globally: "HSBC seems to have turned size to its advantage" and went on to cite client comments that the 'organisation is of a size such that client service is customised nicely to clients needs'. It also noted that "HSBC is getting most of its scores from the largest funds which are best placed to profit from what one calls the global network, size and comprehensiveness of services provided".
